I have a friend whose JD 60 had the choke fall off.
He has all the parts luckily(he told me he has them
all-I hope so). Can anyone tell me what part goes
where? Is there any tricks to reassembling choke?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Below is a link to the parts catalog (in .pdf format). There is a clear parts breakdown of the choke under "carburetor".

It"s a little tricky to install, and harder to describe here.
Keep in mind the duplex choke is a spring loaded mechanism.
There is a wind-up spring that goes on the inside, and when installing the choke lever, this spring is wound clockwise by the tang inside the choke lever, and must pass the pin in the choke shaft before fully inserting the lever into the casting.
This wind up spring is what closes the choke discs attached to the shaft inside when the lever is moved to the right.
The tang inside the choke lever is what opens the choke discs when the lever is moved to the left.
What holds the choke lever onto the casting body is the shoulder bolt with spring and concave washer.
Concave washer goes on last on the shoulder bolt and rides against the lever.
Patience!
