Was plowing with my 3150 and noticed when I turned on the lights the engine temp gauge needle shifted up. Turn lights off and the needle drops back. Is this a ground issue? Thanks.

The extra pull of the alternator is making the belt slip & the fan & water pump turn slower so the engine runs hotter

I'd guess bad gauge cluster ground connection.
