I'm looking at a John Deere 920 MOCO. Can anyone share any insite to these machines? The good..the bad...any known issues? I have heard numerouse people say that thier discbine (not this specific discbine) uses alot of HP, is that true? I would like to continue useing my 4020PS, but if need I can use the 4240...Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had a 920 discbine with the flails instead of the rollers and pulled it with a JD 2950 85hp and it was plenty of hp. Your 4020 has more hp and should be just fine.

A discbine will use more HP than a sickle. Your 4020 should be able to handle it, at least a smaller one. I have a 956, and in heavy hay, it will work my 4450, at least at faster speeds.

The other factor is noise. Discbines are loud, and running one without a cab will be a lot different than a sickle machine.
