530 Duplex Carburetor

I have 2 530 duplex carburetors that I want to have rebuilt. Is there any experiences or recommendations as to who does the better rebuild on these carbs and also places them in a test?

I've rebuilt several of them...the altitude compensator is tricky to remove without messing up the threads...I always use vice grips and pull as it is coming out to avoid the apinning of the threads on the casting..the compensator is probably about $40 now....also the trick is go get all the idle passages cleaned out....those carbs are very expensive so be careful who you turn them over to.....good luck

I have used several companys and have had good luck with all except "Dennys."

rebuilt one for a 520 they are a bear to clean. After you get them clean it isn't too bad.
