Jdb injection pump

Hello
Tried to get the advance screw out to rebuild this pump and it
broke is it worth trying to piece it together and ruining the
housing or am I better off to buy a complete one or where a
good place to get parts.

Can't you grind off enough of it to get the pump apart? I've broken a few and managed to get the pumps apart. I suppose you broke it in the fluted Bristol head (end of bolt with 6 teeth)?

Used pump cores for these machines are expensive!

When I rebuilt mine about a year ago the head split nearly in half when I tried to remove it with the bristol tool. I knocked the other part of the head off and got it flat enough to drill a small hole and use an extractor bit to get it out. I was careful not to drill too deep. Afterwards, I cleaned everything real good to make sure not to leave any metal slivers. Been running ever since.

Yeah I am going to try that Ive kinda chewed it up a little but was just wanting to know the cost of the housing I might try and weld something to it I guess

Next time inset the tool/sleeve that encircles the ballstud to keep it from breaking!
