New Gen Synchro's-- clutch going?

When you use all the adjustment slot up on the clutch pedal where bolt(parts key #3) fits and clutch is still slipping.

A few symptoms... slipping under load, or noisy when disengaging or engaging, or failing to release for reasons other than have rusted a bit while sitting unused.

Our 4020 didn't want to disengage good and the gears would clash when shifting. Some warped clutch plates and maybe some junk on the linings caused it to drag.
All was good after replacing some parts.

Often a tractor will shift good when first started but when worked awhile it will shift hard because the disc is worn down and sticking to the flywheel.

I have also seen where engaging the pto will move the foot pedal. That is also caused by one or both clutches being worn out. Won't notice that until trying to adjust pedal free travel and pto linkage.

Adjustment as TxJim states. No more free travel in pedal.Hareder to shift and it will start slipping in the higher gears.Sometimes the rear main seal will start leaking and the oil will cause clutch to need replaced when seal is fixed.
