sloppy steering

It depends on were the slop is at. Where the steering shaft goes in at the front pedistal it has a worm type gear on the end and that interacts with the sector gear on the vertical shaft going down to the spindle casting. Where the sector gear is at the top there is a ecentric bushing that can be rotated to move the sector gear closer to the worm gear. My steering had slop but it was not there it was where the vertical shaft goes into the spindel casting. There are two pins that join them together and the holes in the vertical shaft were worn obround.
