630 firing on one cylinder

I recently replaced the cap and rotor, plug wires, and the carburetor on my 630 due to a broken bowl nut and ever sense then it hasn"t been running right, it only runs on one cylinder and ever so often I hear it trying to hit on two but goes back to one and it smokes black smoke when it is idling. any ideas on what could be wrong?

try pulling one spark plug wire at a time off the plug, the one that doesn't affect the engine is the bad cylinder. Hold the wire a little bit off the plug and see if it fires then. If so, probably a fouled plug.

You need to adjust the carb for each cylinder separately. I'd have to look up the proper procedure for it but somebody might have it at the top of their head.

dont you adjust the carb with one plug wire off, and if its the clutch side wire, thats the same side of carb that you adjust, then repeat the other side same way?

Here is the procedure to set the carb. If you have trouble reading it, send me an email and I will send you a clearer copy.
