JD 224 pto carrier baearing.

Somehow the carrier bearing got broke. Not by me tho. JD wants $260 for it. Local yard has a 14T with the bearing. Is this the same bearing for my baler ? The same yard also has I think he said a 248 -348 is this the same bearing used on the 224T ? Thanks.

Have you tried looking at parts catalogs for those balers in the JD on-line parts site?

Carrier brg or housing broken??

JD9301 Ball Bearing ADD 31.91 USD

Later model brg & carrier housings are different from 224. I also think a 14T is incorrect for a 224

Part # 33 Jim is what I need. We got it welded and its holding
good. But, need a replacement. The yard has new balers 300
series with the bearing carrier. Will it fit ?? I was thinking he
said 348 maybe a 384. Thanks.

As I previously stated all later model balers pto carrier brg/mount is totally different from a 224

There's one of the holders(E14346) here but this may be where your JD dealer was referring to.

I will see if I can remember to look in the parts bin tomorrow. I think that I have a used one. You would need to put a new bearing in it if I do have one.
