JD alternator question

I have a 4255, put a reman alternator on it last fall during drilling season. this summer anytime the outdoor air temp got close to 90 the alarm and warning light would come on. If I flipped the field lights on for a few minutes the light and alarm would go off. I put a VOM across the alternator cable and ground, the alarm goes off at about 12.5 volts. Took it into the JD dealer, he put it on their test bench and alternator puts out 14.2 volts regardless of load imposed on the alternator. come home and put it on my tractor and the best I can get is 13.8 volts. Can't find and frayed or broken wires and cleaned ground lug. Any ideas, my thought is the voltage regulator is going bad in the heat. Unit has about 1 month left on warranty.
Thanks for any ideas.

Get rid of it now , before WARRANTY runs out., or sets your tractor on fire, as has happened in the past. A neighbor had it happen on a 4430.

Pulleys could be worn out, and the belts will bottom out, and slip, especially with hi loads.. a/c on higher ambient temp.

Hi
It could be any component in it goes bad with heat moving a solder joint or component failure due to resistance change!

Could be something simple like a corroded terminal in a multi plug on the wire harness too. seen this a lot recently, with a few brand name tractor electric systems and hard to find faults. The frightening thing is some of these tractors are less than 10 years old too!.
Hard call to make but JD will try their hardest for you to keep it. If it burns your tractor they hope you visit them for replacement, with insurance check. Or if it blows up 2 days after warranty you go buy a new one from them!. This is the stunts our local crew would try pulling.
