I got some bad fuel from my ex-supplier and one of my 440 diesels needs new injectors. Eventually I want to over haul it to a N series engine but for now, I would like to replace the injectors to get it running again. Can I use the same injectors in the original engine and the N series engine? If so what number injectors do I need? Thank you, Roger

I know I'm not b&d but, I would use 35's in a stock engine. Actually can use almost anything, if you just have big ones you can adjust them so they don't go all the way open with your rack. Vic

Yes, you can use N series injectors with S series liners and pistons. In fact, you may see a slight improvement in starting if you use them. However, nothing compares to the the whole N series setup. I would only use "35" injectors in a stock motor. Hope that helps.

I had my 435 overhauled and running good and was worked on shiming up the front axle. During that time the fuel went bad. I shot some ether down it trying to start it. Then antifreeze came out of the exhaust. I am trying to get it looked at but they are draging their feet geting to it. Did I blow the head gasket?

And people will still come on here and say ether never damaged an engine.
The old head bolts may have been stretched before ether was used but it was holding for a while.
Sleeve height is vital. What were they set at?
Was the rebuild a re-ring or a set of N series sleeves and. N pistons?
