Are there any 440 I collectors out there?

A buddy of mine decided that it was time to ship his 440 TLB to the scrapper. It is worn out.... I scrounged a few parts that I hated to see turned into matchbox toys. Most of the parts I bought were common to Dubuque ag tractors except for the hood which was stored in a barn off the tractor...

The whole thing got me wondering just how many 440's were saved? A crawler loader with the 2 stroke would be a neat piece... Anybody have a barn full of 440's?

It is not a barn full, but I have:
440 diesel TLB
440 diesel with a side boom and blade
440 diesel crawler loader
440 gas with a Alburn trencher

I've got a 440I (gas) with a 71 loader that I still use for picking up and feeding round bales. Also a gas 440IC with a 63 blade that has only 701 hours, and yes the tach/hour meter works.

Dan in Ohio, could you re-post the piece that you have done in the past about rebuilding a power steering pedestal on a John Deere 70 tractor? Thank you very much, Hugh

Not really a collector but I have a 440I with 71 Loader and 50 (51?) backhoe. Great little machine. Also have a mostly complete, stuck parts 440I (no backhoe) if anyone needs any parts.

I call that a barn full!! Sounds like some neat pieces for sure. I'm especially fond of attatchmens. They seem to always get lost over time. I'm glad to know someone has preserved a few.

I have a 440 I tractor I bought at a farm auction back in the early 90's. Never been familiar with the tractor but the little 2 cylinder "Jimmy" engine intrigued me. Back then paid $900.00. It ran though it was "wet stacking" as the GM Diesel guys call it, spitting oil drops from the exhaust. I parked it in the barn for a future project but haven't got back to it yet. It is some what useless in my operation as it has no 3 point or pto. I guess it was a pulling tractor. It did have a nice aerosol overhaul paint wise. I will post on this site when I don't want it any more.

I have a 440icd and a 440ic and a 440icd that I have been parting out. sounds like jd8020 wins

I have a 440ic w/64 blade that was found at a collector auction in the state up north shortly after my previous post on this topic.

A general idea of where you are located might get you an idea of a place to check near you.
