Ordered a seal for the pto and it came much different than original for sure

It had a wide lip seal and a felt wiper in front of that ,well when the new came it was a single lip 1/4 inch thick seal with no wiper at all.Number's are all correct and the one from NAPA is the same way.Is there any place that has the more desired replacement or do we put three in its its place with one turned out like on a kicker??Your imput???
 
All that is avail today, and sometimes they leak. I got an orig one for a late (A), from DON DUFNER, BUXTON ND. PS: ORIGS made by CHICAGO RAW HIDE>
 
I just done mine on my Johndeere " B " 1949. I got 2 of those seals you are talking about and put them in back to back. The one in first will keep dirt and water out and one in last on inside toward the oil to seal the oil in. Done that on my JD. 60 1955 and been 8 years now and no leaks yet.
