Has any one had any experience with Miller tires or any outher companies that sells off size rear tractor tires,I need a pair of 12.4-36 for an old 2010 chore tractor, firestone wants over $800 apiece for them, hate to go cheap and get tires that last very long, appreciate your thoughts on this,Al

Google Nebraska Tire. They sell all kinds of farm tires and have the size you need. I have never dealt with them but I have a friend that does and he is pleased. You will still pay shipping but you might still come out ahead. Worth a look.

Around here there are independent tire repair shops who can get off brand tires from their suppliers cheaper than you can order them and pay shipping.

I believe Miller Tires is still going to a lot of Tractor Expositions and has a good supply with them. Maybe you could call them and see if and when they might be in your area. Don't know if they would still charge you for shipping but a phone call to them would give you the answer. Google them for the phone number.

I looked for that size tire for my F20 for 4 or 5 years and the only place I could find new ones was Miller. He shipped them and at the time it was about $500 per tire, but that has been a few years ago now. Local tire shops could get 38" but no one had access to 36" tires that I could find in central IL.

Check with your local farm equipment dealers. Miller has deals with many local dealers, and will often ship to these dealers at no (or greatly reduced) cost. Then you can pick up your tires from the local dealer without the high cost of shipping.

Try Tucker tire too. They go mainly through ebay, but have had great luck on pricing from them. Just priced out a set of 9.5x36 - locally a 4 ply $650 + tax per tire. They would ship to my door a 10 ply tire for $490 a tire. Don't state what brand, but can't be worse than the 4 ply locally of off name brand.

Hey Farm-al,
I've used Miller Tire several times for front and rear tractor tires as well as rims. I've been very happy with their products. Always good quality. They may not be the cheapest but their service is second to none. Just my two cents. Good Luck, John
