I was going to say I am looking for a little help with my tractor but may need a lot of help. I put a new clutch, pressure plate assembly and bearings in my tractor. Everything worked fine for about 10 minutes after getting everything back together. I had stopped the tractor and put it in park and then went to go again and I couldn"t get it in gear (Heavy gear clashing) as if the clutch wasn"t disengaging. I tried adjusting the clutch pedal out both ways from the recommended setting and I still couldn"t get it into gear. Through the access hole I adjusted the pressure plate to maximum release and still I could not get it into gear. With the clutch pedal depressed I can spin the clutch disc with a screw driver so it doesn"t make since that I couldn"t get it into gear. The story gets interesting from this point. My friend came over with his truck and trailer to pick the tractor up to take it to his available garage space since we have been having so much rain. I had left the key on when adjusting the pressure plate the week before and of course the tractor wouldn"t start. Three hours later after a 50 amp charger and jump from a running truck we finally got the tractor to start (Very odd). We then figured we would winch and push the tractor up on the trailer. My friend got up on the tractor and tried to put it into gear and it went right into gear - no grinding. We decided to haul it to his place anyway since he wanted to borrow it to cut hay. Took it off the trailer and it ran and shifted fine through all the gears. The next morning he had problems getting it started even after putting a new battery in it and with a 200 amp charger and a jump vehicle. He then tried to back up and the gear lever wont even go into reverse and or back into park. This tractor had no problems of any kind before the clutch replacement. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
