oil line fitting

John Deere B Serial number 233733 - I"m back again. I lost the engine oil pressure gauge fitting. The one that connects the gauge to the line. It"s about 3/4 inch long. Our JD dealer doesn"t have one and cannot get one. Anyone know what the fitting is called or a part number for it. Also can"t find one in our local auto parts stores fitting bins. This B is getting to me. Thanks again, Basil

If you are willing to make your own line just get some copper tubing and some ends because where that comes out of the main case and into the gauge are just standard pipe threads. 1/8"NPT
IIRC

You need to buy a ferrule compression fitting with 1/8 inch pipe threads on the gauge end and take off the compression fitting and ferrule inside to use just the remaining part to screw into the gauge. Your ferrule and fitting will still be on the oil line hopefully. You may also need a short coupler or elbow in 1/8 inch NPT size to make a gender match with the gauge and fitting.

Ace hardware should have both. Ferrule is the magic word to use on the help. That is if the help is worth having. Measure your oil line thickness before you go as this type of fitting come in several sizes, but I'm thinking yours is probably 1/8 inch.
