4020 Zeinith Carb

Does any one know if the 4020 Zeinith Carb will fit in place of the carb on a 7700 Gas combine intake manifold. The reason I am asking I am thinking of putting the intake from a 362 gas from the combine on my 4020 gas because the combine manifold looks to flow better and it has coolant running through the intake to cool the incoming air and I believe that will increase the performance of the tractor and just overall better running tractor. And no I will not just switch the engine to a diesel because they didn't make lots of sideconsole 4020 gas's so it is staying as close to orgional as possible.
Thanks in advance

Zach

coolant flowing thru the manifold must have been for cold weather operation. It will not cool unless the air was heated by a turbo. Coolant will heat the air otherwise, unless you make an ice box/water and flow the water.

The carb should fit. The tractor intake manifold was heated by the way it was connected to the ex. manifold. That would heat up quicker than the combine manifold. If you are not running for long periods you should probably stick with the right manifold.

I understand the heating part of the manifold but I figured that with the coolant flowing throught the manifold would keep the temperature of the intake air at a constant which would help improve performance. The combine manifold is also more streamlined and looks to flow better which would help even out the mixture and that should help keep some cylinders from loading up

The heating of the manifold air will make it less efficient, air density is less because it will be HOT.

Maybe the manifold is more efficient, but running hot water thru will reduce the density more than the better flowing advantage.
