Stuck carb float 36 A ?

When to crank my 36A today which I haven't crank in about a year.Put about gallon of fuel in it let it set for about and 2 min and then started to crank it and I could the gas bubbling in the muffler as I crank. Is there any trick to unsticking the float without taking the carb off?

If the motor drank enough to hear it through the muffler it should be shooting out of the compression cocks when you crank it. You sure you're not hearing the gurgle of the oil bath?

No. It coming from the muffler and the pet cocks are squirting lots of fuel.I can see a wet spot where the exhaust gasket on the head is moist.
I lite a match on top of the muffler and it burned about 20 seconds. It even got harder to turn the fly wheel because the gas wipe the oil off the cylinders.

You can try to remove the drain in the bowl and use a stiff wire and push on the float and see if that will fix it. you can also try to take off the cap to the filter on the carb and use that stiff wire to push on the needle. you can do all that without removing carb.

I took the Filter screen nut off like mb deere said and ran a stiff wire down to push the needle down.I opened the drain cock and sprayed carb cleaner down through the needle and seat to clean it out.

Could be float has cracked and filled w/gas. You could have already had the bowl off instead of messing around.
