70 DIESEL CENTER BEARING

I have a 70 DIESEL torn down to find that the center bearing is trashed the crank is fine stopped before damage happened. The bad news is deere has told me bearings are not available! Anyone have a resoures to get new bearings? They are std size deere pn# AF3292R.

The last one I did...I had to turn the crank down and go with .020 under bearings. Working on the crankshaft can be an expensive project.

Thanks for all the inputs on this topic!I have located a set from renaissance tractor waiting word from machine shop on crank before we press on.I at least know where i can get a set now. We found the oil screen almost plugged solid with carbon and debris. The bearings were stamped dated 11/1966 when they were last replaced. The owner changed the rods and lh &rh mains in 1991 but did not remove crank to do center.

Check the crank to ensure it's rifle drilled to oil the Center bearing. Stranger things have happened.
There is an update to run pressurized oil to the Center bearing with the 720/730 design.

Increase oil clearance on center main to equal the right & left. If not it will overload the center main. It will then run forever. Make sure you preluble the oil system. After crankshaft installation, I like to see oil coming out of both rod journals, before hooking up con rods.
