I am have trouble with my 800 I have to come to a full stop to lift the head or the hydraulic pump pulls the belt to a almost stop so do I need a new pump or what do I do

Is the double "V" belt oily or worn (grooves in belt bottoming on "lips" at sides and center of drive pulley) making it slip easily?

I have a 12 foot draper head and I have all new belts and all new chains on the swather the belt is not slipping you pull on the lever to lift the head it pulls the swather down and almost stops the head

Does lifting the header lug the slant 6 ?
Is the belt slipping on the pump pulley or on the motor pulley?
As preveiously asked. Has somebody operated the swather with old worn belts until the point of failure. Which has worn the pulley grooves?
Over tighening the belt tension is not a substitute for new pulleys.

Pull on the lever? Isn't the header and reel height controlled with rocker pedals?
How much spring pre-load is on the lift cylinders?

Is that pump mounted on the header and driven by the belts that run the head It may be the head drive belt slipping causing the pump to slow down.
