Swapped the 1000 shaft into and back out of the 4430 yesterday. Yanked the shaft and slammed the other right home both ways.

if you park your tractor so the rear is two or three foot higher than the front you can change them at a leisurly pace because the oil runs to the front of the tractor and wont run out the back.

I've parked them nose-down, and didn't lose any less than I did this time parked level.

I think I've slammed them right home without having to turn them more often than I've had to work them around.
