monitor plug in

Got a 3 prong plug in to put onto a 4640 to hook up a 567 baler monitor. It has red wire, orange wire and black wire. It came with no directions, kid working the counter said the red wire is hooked to battery, orange to a hot wire when key is on and black wire is ground, is he right? Thanks for any help or information.

The wiring harness with plug that I bought/installed several yrs ago in my 4255 only had 2 wires red was for (+) & black was for (-)
My monitor works just fine. The plug on harness has a vacant spot for the orange wire terminal.

That is how I did mine. Red always hot. Orange to Accessory, and black to ground. Works good on my 567 baler.
