4010D no hydraulics

Started my 4010D today which I have not started for a couple of weeks and had practically no hydraulics. If I rev the engine to 3/4 throttle I can turn the steering wheel and move the front tires a little but very jerky. No hydaulics at the 3 point hitch or remotes. Coupler to the hyd. pump seems tight and makes no noise. Anyone got any suggestions or tips?

Thanks! gwece

How long since hyd filter was changed and sump screen checked/cleaned? It's possible stroke control valve in main hyd pump is not seating due to wear or debris,

Some times the stroke valve hangs up in a scenario like this, and by loosening it,or backing off the screw 4 or 5 turns then back in while it is running will allow it to come free, be careful you don"t get pinched with the steering arm, if it wakes up the steering will try to correct it"s self..

Thanks guys.....was hoping to hear from you two! Going to change filter and clean screen first then if necessary try the stroke control valve. I did have an an opportunity for hydraulic oil contamination when I used a rear bale carrier with a hydraulic push off a couple of months ago. Friend of mine had the carrier borrowed and returned to me on a trailer with the hoses off for transportation reasons. Could have gotten some trash in the hyd oil when it was hooked back to the tractor.

Thanks again guys! gwece

That would not have been enough dirt to hurt anything,, I'm still voting on the stroke valve..

Have you checked the hydraulic oil level? Mine had leaky load control seals and would lose fluid even while parked.
