Happier than a Pig in Frog Snot

My latest project has been a 1944 A that hasn't
ran since 1985.. Been coverd up been outside
this whole time with shrink wrap plastic....
The whole machine is a POS but I didn't want
see get scrapped... Well like a Dummy I am
currently resurecting it. To all friends &
family disagreement... The carb has been a BIG
?? Mark.. Looked like it went down with the
titanic & you could move NOTHING on it.. After
weeks of soaking which didn't help, I used about
a whole can of over cleaner on it. Let it soak
for a day, Last night was able to REMOVE every
plug, every screw, cleaned, rinsed it out. Bowl
was so full of rust you could hardly see the
float. Cleaned out the holes, blew it out
reassembled with new needle & seat / gasket &
spring kit.. Threw it on my neighbors A just
to see if it leaked, started that tractor &
set the adjustments & now he doesn't want me
to take it off. Runs better now than it has
for a long time... ( so I gotta fix his Now)
As for My A, it's light years from ever running
at this time, but one of the many items on
the list is now crossed off!!!! The tractor is
sitting in my shop & consists of a frt frame
& pedistal, with a empty crank case & trans
case. Bare cast iron..... Another two years
it ( MIGHT) be running!!!!LOL

Sounds like a big project !!! But a fun one too boot. I like my 44 A that I have. Take lots of photos along your journey . Good luck.
