Rear Axel Housing

I noticed when I changed the Rear Axel Felts on my model "B" that the Rear End and Transmission housings are actually all one unit.
I drained a bucket full of oil and water out.
I can see what the full level will be but I don't know if I should put in Gear oil [#-?] or Hydraulic oil.

Felts are not seals- those are inside. So it will still leak. Felts only exist to keep dirt from entering the outer axle bearing. It takes 5-7 gallons of 90wt gear lube.
