Flat top fenders value

Just bought a "60" with flat top fenders. Makes it hard to get on/off. I was thinking of working a deal of some sort with a set of clamshells. What are flats worth compared to clams. Good and solid, but paint worn off. Thanks

JD50A, Last I heard a GOOD set brings about $1000. BUT make sure they are for a 30 series. Some new generation fenders are similar but have only one light per fender and a hand hold on both sides. The 30 series flattops have two lights and only one handhold and it is on the left side.

Did the early number series tractors include flat tops as an option? For some reason I was thinking that clams where the only fenders available for a 60 or a 70

You guys are right, parts book only shows Clamshell fenders for the "60" row crops. But someone put the flat top fenders on this one. They have the hand hole and duel headlights. I was trying to get a price so maybe I could make a deal on clamshell style. Last I noticed the clamshells were about $250. Thanks

Fenders like you have depending on which stands and condition bring around $4/500.New reproductions are around $600 .Clamshells are about $150 cheaper.

If they are for a 30 series, and you are interested in a possible trade, let me know, and hopefully shipping wouldn't kill the deal. I'm in MN. I have a set of clam shells that hung in a shed for 40 years that are in nice shape. I bought them for a 530, but would be interested in the correct flat tops. Email should be open, otherwise my address is: [email protected]
Thanks
