john deere van brunt drill

I recently purchased a John Deere Van Brunt grain drill.13 hoe.rope trip.and I'm trying to find out the model and the years that model was built.on the back of the feet boxes B137A "Lot 3211 is painted.any ideas would be good

Since it's an odd number seed opening I think it's a grain/fert combination drill. With the letters you posted without the aid of a photo I'l guess it's a model FB-A. Does your drill resemble 1st photo?

JD built a B-A but only in 20 or 24 seed openings

It does look similar similar to that picture.the difference I see is that mine is an old rope trip system.it does have fertilizer and grass seed boxes.I'm try and get some pics of it

Rope trip(mechanical),hyd cyl or levers were all options on JD grain drills.
