What it the best way to remove the bowl that probaly hasnt ever ben taken out. My shut off handle is broken off and wont turn with vice grips. Its frozzen up. I was going to unscrew the bowl out of the gas tank and I cant find a place to put a wrench on it. I have a aftermarket bowl on my other A and it has a place to put a wrench. I dont want to break it off in the tank. The tank is empty and I sprayed the inside the tank where the bowl screws in and the outside with PB Blaster hoping it will loosen it up. Whats the best wrench to put on it? Im thinking maybe a pipe wrench. Can you get new shut off valves to rebuild the old one? Thanks.

New shut-offs/bowl assemblies are available from deere. Can't give you advice on removal, be very careful with heat.

Remove the glass bowl and the bail that holds the bowl in place and then use a small pipe wrench.
New sediment bowl assemblies are available on this site for $21.

I got it out today with no problems. I let it soak overnight with PB Blaster and done like Pete said I removed the glass and bail then got a pipe wrench on it she came on out with no problems. I was worried about that the stem would break off in the tank. Im going to get a new one because the valve is stuck and wont turn at all. Thanks.
