John Deere 1020 Issues

Just purchased a 1020 JD for $900.00. Tractor
is a 73 yesr model with ps, hyd. remotes
with gas engine. Super nice sheetmetal, but
the problems are engine and clutch stuck. How
can I free clutch w/o tear down. Engine will
be last issue I address. Did I pay to much?
Has good tires and better wheels.

If you want to double your money tell me where you're located and I'll come get it.About the only way to free it without the engine running is to split the tractor that I know of.I've unstuck clutches with the engine running so you may want to get that going first.I owned a 1020 for years and wish I had it back,do you know if it has a 2 stage clutch or single?If it has a shuttle you can't even see the clutch without splitting it.
