I have a 46 GM that has lights. Is there a book that shows the dash or a sight on the internet that I can see a pic. Mine has a button that says ignition but no hole for the lights. Not sure if it had an ignition button or not. Thanks Ed

gm's only had magneto's and were kerosene only. You must drain carburetor before restarts so the proper way to shut a GM down was to turn off fuel, so no need of a switch.Paul

It's hard to say where your "ignition" button came from, it could have been added if your magneto has the post on it for a "kill" wire.
You say your GM has lights, but you didn't mention how you turn the lights off and on.
John Deere parts book PC369 for model G shows light switch AF688R only in the harness for 12volt lighting No stop switch shown.
