hi all im sure it's been on here before. i think some use a socket or something but i need to rebuild the carb on my early A hand crank gas only tractor. ordered nasty carb soak yasterday but i doubt that will loosin the nozle thanks in advance
 
Doesn't take much to pull them out of the bore. 1/4-20 thread tap. Thread the bottom of nozzle. Thread in a 1/4 inch bolt with a washer and nut on bolt. Use washer as a spacer and nut as the puller. It'll come out.
 
You my have to order you some drill bits from Roberts to clean out your passages.I cleaned mine real good so i thought and only run with the choke almost closed. I took the carb apart again and ordered me some drill bits. My passages were stoped up prety good. The drill bits got alot of rust out of there. Now she runs like a top. As far as the nozzel thats the way I got mine out like Husker stated.
 
I have used an allen wrench before. I insert it from the intake side once the Choke disk and lever are out. the nozzle sticks up just enough and the 90 degree wrench allowed me to pry against the top of the inside of the carb. Works well for me.
 
If you wave some heat on the nozzle and also on the brass screws they will all come out with very little problem. I use a slide hammer puller with a self tapping screw in it to grip the nozzles and pull them out. Many times they will just fall out once heat has been applied. You don't need a lot of heat, either. Be sure to insert a small bolt in the threaded nozzle and pull on the bolt. Don't use the small tap for pulling. It is brittle and can easily break off and cannot be drilled. Don't ask how I know.
