830 diesel oil leak

I have a oil leak on my 830 diesel. The leak is at the cap nut that secures oil filter cover in place on the underside of the tractor. The copper washer is in place on the nut and I have replaced the large o-ring gasket the the oil filter cover seats aginst. Needless to say I have tightened the nut extra tight when it was installed. It leakes mostly when the engine is running. Does anyone have an idea as to how I might solve this problem?

I would dismantle the filter cover, remove the copper washer and inspect the crush pattern -make sure it is even - make sure all old o ring material is out of groove - so that the cover is tightening evenly with new o ring - then install a new copper washer and reassemble cover

Just did the same thing as Ken said to do on our 830. It did the same thing

if you are using an c ring that is wrong get the correct sq. packing from Deere
