Pie Weights JD

I took some pie weights off a 730 that had been used as front weights and they turned out to be JD pie weights. I figure they were used as weights for furrow wheels on maybe an old JD one-way or some kind of plow. They have a P700A cast in them and a JD. Thank you for any help.

You are right, they were used on the furrow and rear wheels of disk tillers (one ways). There are 2 or 3 different shapes and weights depending on wheel and whether inside or outside of the wheel. I seem to recall some were 40 pounds per section and some about 28 or 30 lbs.

That weight was also used on disk breaking plows The weights of some of the parts are in the parts descriptions.

These I would guess are about 40 lbs.
