I have an 52 b. rebuilt the carb. can get it to idle, but when I govern opens it wants to die unless I pull the choke out. have run the load screw out and in makes no difference. any ideas???

That tracror carb combination should run wide open (no load) called fast idle with the load needle completely closed if all the passages are open. Matter of fact, that is how you set idle mixture. You are still plugged somewhere. I am assuming you have plenty of supply to carb and float is set sorrectly. If you know for a fact nothing is plugged then you have an air leak somewhere to the engine side of the carb.

When you rebuilt the carb did use use passage drill bits to clean the carb or just soak it? As stated many times before carb cleaner will not get these carbs clean, they are steel carbs and they rust so the passages need to be mechanically opened up.

Sounds like the nozzle was NOT removed, & is plugged, which means others are plugged yet as well. If not it can be poor fuel supply volume, which normally only shows up under load. Float can be set too low....weak ignition, timing set wrong.....
