Auction prices

I attended an auction last week in NW PA, and the prices that the tractors went for really surprised me.

1937 B wide-front $12,000
1939 G $10,500
1937 AO $7500

These were all nicely restored tractors that seemed to be mechanically good and very nice cosmetically.

there was also a 1928 model D that was pretty rough looking, but seemed to be all there, no idea if it would run or not. It sold for $3,500.

Do these prices seem to be in the correct ballpark? I thought they were high, but I"m no expert.

Those look like nicely restored tractors (except the D) so not surprised that they sold well. Think those look like round spokes on the G so that would help the price quite a bit. Did they start them? The way they start and run has a lot to do with the condition, in my opinion.

Ya know there's been two 730 JD,s on e-bay in the last 2 wks that brought $9500 or more. Nice tractors with the good fenders etc but not all that old or rare imo. My brother just sold a 520 that looked good but far from restored with an aftermarket (junk) 3 pt for $ 7200. Those prices on them ole guys are right in line for what they are IMO. Some say the 2cyl hobby is dying ?????

One older gentleman purchased both the G and the AO. The other tractor buyers were old timers too, I think. I've noticed 520s have been going fairly high too. I used to rake hay all of the time with one, wish we still had it.

Couple of things look wrong with the AO. Rear tires look to big. Should be 24", look like 26" off later model. The AOS was built from 37-40, so no AO's built in '37. Must be a late '35(36).
