Have couple 40 jd tractors im working on, one was stuck and got it loose, new rings, rod brgs, and valve job and got it running, but it had a knock. took pan off to find crank has to much thrust play, checked rear main brg and compared it to new main for other engine, 010" wore, but the crank moves 025"-030". I havent found any main brgs with over sized thrust. So I figured better check crank for other engine, its the same. Now what? Am I going to have to have both cranks built up where thrust brgs run?
