Stuck petcock

In order to replace the petcocks on my "42B I first had to remove the old ones. The old petcocks were screwed onto a brass nipple that was then screwed into the block. One came out OK however the second nipple seems to be seized into the block. An easy-out is unable to remove it. Any thoughts or suggestions as to how to remove this nipple?

I thought about that but was concerned with any fumes coming from the cylinder. Also, any particular type of torch works best?

Propane would work. I'd use the Oxy act torch. Shouldn't take much to heat it up. I like using the square shouldered easy outs as the tapered screw in type ones tend to want to expand the material to much to allow the material to release rather then expand and not turn out.

If its a brass petcock, heat it until you get just a hint of green flame then quench it quickly. Should shrink up and come right out.

It's a brass nipple that the old petcock was screwed onto and it is
broken off flush with the block. Sounds like a combination of heat
and square shoulder easy-out.
