2630 slow 3 point hitch response

Well today we capped of the supply line and return line to the remote valves to try and isolate the problem causing slow 3 point lift. A funny thing happened--at first, after 10-12 cycles of the 3 point lift, lift time was about the same--about 7 seconds to lift the 3 point all the way to the top. Then I operated the loader, which forced priority to the 3 point lift, and after another 3 or 4 cycles the 3 point cycle time seemed about normal at just under 3 seconds. But, occasionally after driving and operating the tractor, cycle times will again be 6-7 seconds--almost like there may still be a slight leak somewhere. But, you might operate the 3 point 25 times in a row (with no other components of the tractor being used) and it cycle under 3 seconds. What does everybody think? SCV sound like the problem, and if do, why does the cycle time range from 3-7 seconds like it is depending on how the tractor is being used? Big thanks to all.

Because of this statement of yours and I'll quote you
A funny thing happened--at first, after 10-12 cycles of the 3 point lift, lift time was about the same--about 7 seconds to lift the 3 point all the way to the top.
I think your tractors 3 pt slowness is caused somewhere besides SCV. Have you checked stand-by pressure to be sure it's between 2250-2350 psi? If loader has ind valve disconnect return hose and with both levers in neutral be sure no oil flows out hose with engine running. Have you checked clearance on 3pt operating valves? Have you performed the procedure outlined in JD tech manual to check ALL adjustments of the L/D control mechanism??? Have you inspected the pressure(priority) valve on RH side by hyd filter?
