329 combine engine - low oil pressure

The original subject was "329 combine engine low oil pressure".

low oil pressure jd 5410 tractor, bearings ok, oil pum p and tubes ok, replaced pressure spring, still no answers,maybe oil cooler leaking, going there next. any ideas, thanks

I have seen a few of these models have the drive gear slip on the oil pump shaft, they are a taper with "no" key, when I repaired them I went with a new shaft/gear, scuffed it up a bit and loc-tited them...

Low oil pressure on a 4 cyl engine could be attributed to faulty balancer shaft brgs.
