Got home from work yesterday and heard the sound of a tractor running up the hill. He had a JD-D running. He had a guy coming over to look at it. It ran nice and had a new rebuilt mag on it. Said he was asking 2200.00 for it.Does that sound about right? I thought that was a litte low. He has quite a few tractors. So I think he knows the value of the D. I asked him if he has any cultivators. No luck. I've been thinking about a cultivator for our sweet corn patch. Are there still many around? Dale

My Neighbor just re-stored a 1936 Spoker D, he had $3,000 each in the carb and mag alone..he has it finished to a near superb condition,,I think he gave $3,000 for the tractor when he found it in a pile...not in running condition...

No, he actually sharp, he sent it to one place and it didn't work out well so sent it to I think Denny's and waited for a few months on it,,I will try to get a picture of it to post,, it is a Real nice one,,no doubt about that, I'm trying to get him to take it to Rantual with us...

Must mean a 1926 Spoker D. Yes the correct carb would be expensive, not sure about the mag though.

Ooh Yes,,Darn it that is what I meant 1926,,not 36,,and it is all correct,,he found it down it the sticks south east of here in a place you would never expect to find one,,and he did a great job on restoring it,,no wonder Kent thought I was crazy :^)

I'm not sure which one did the job, one did good the other was a waste of money, I think he had K&K build his gas tank,,he searched all over getting stuff for it,and spent a year doing it, there were never many D's in this area, and only a few G's, this was a A's and B's area back then...

15 miles north of Champagne Ill. it's the Half Century of Progress show, "THE" best show I have ever seen...
