4520 circuit breakers

My circuit breakers keep tripping when I run my lights (JD 4520). Is there a fix for this? Anyone ever convert to relays? or fuses?

If the 4520 is original then the wiring is over 30 years old. The circuit breakers may be doing their job... look for a short where the wire has rubbed on metal for three decades. Try another breaker in that circuit as I've had those little suckers go bad.

The circuit breaker is doing it's job. Look for rubbed wires in the lighting circuit. I have found on several that they will rub through if the harness is touching the hyd pipes under the dash. Wouldn't hurt to try a different breaker to be sure as someone else said.

I just had the wiring system gone through and new lights installed. The old circuit breakers/relays were used.

To add to what Cliff stated make sure the breakers have a clean tight connection, a bit of rust and looseness allows heat to build up making the breaker trip prematurely..
