Sent the generator on the M to Sharps and had it completely restored so everything should be fine now.
I am starting off with the "motor" test.
With the generator mounted to tractor and belt removed. I have a wire from field on genny to lower genny mounting bolt. When I apply battery voltage to genny armature terminal the genny spins.
Ok now when I remove the jumper from field to ground the genny should increase in speed correct? Well this one doesn't it stops when I remove jumper from field to ground. So this means no matter how much I cleaned the mounting bolts and ears on genny it's still not grounded to tractor right??
What do I do??
