My thought is that they are cheap radios and yours has went the trip,,Darn it,,and also to add the new replacement radios do not need a memory power wire, the new ones have a storage cell built into them that will hold the stations and the clock for a long period of time,,but it don't know exactly how long...

It"s gotten hard to find a radio suitable for tractors. Our dealership quit selling radios and send everyone up town where all the kids go. They have small buttons and too many features to be able to change the station going across the field. My 6410 has a remote that has bigger buttons, but that"s just crazy. Remotes are for the TV. I wish you could still go and buy a radio built for the tractor cab environment.

I've been using radios from Wmart. Probably the same size and feature issues you stated but way cheaper than Deere. Usually get the cheapest one on sale for $50-60.
