I have 4440 powershift, it slips sometimes sometime not, i installed pressure guage in valve on right side on trany and have 0 pressure, book says 175 or so and add shimms to valve on clutch pedal side valve what should i do spring is not broke and had some shim in there

You need to be in the correct port to check the stand by transmission pressure, I don"t think you were if you got a zero reading,,my thought is the dry drive clutch is most likely slipping, it is in the flywheel.

Some of the ports will not have pressure while in park or nutruel..You can put the tow shifter into the "tow" position, and block the wheels, then going through some speeds, to check the system you will need a gauge pack, each speed will need 3 functions to happen between 2 clutches and 4 brakes,it can be a little complicating to explain,, but if you are getting slippage in the higher speeds it is usually the dry clutch..

i will try it in tow and netuel , thanks , it has a little oil comein out of the clutch housing not a lot but didnt want to split it , and find out it was futher back and split again, thanks

The dry clutch is a weak link in those, and even worse if they have been turned up, and most of them have been...the last one I did I turned the flywheel to give me .030 more spring pressure, and installed new springs.

One way to be sure if the dry clutch is slipping is engage the PTO. If it slows down when the tractor slows down it s the dry clutch. Also if it slips in every gear it s probably the dry clutch.
