Cultivator points or shovels

I am working on getting a set of cultivators fixed up to go on my MT. I will be cultivating vegetables and am unsure if I want to get some small shovels or just use shanks. The soil is relatively rock free, low clay content, and does not differ much over the 2 acres I plan on using the cultivator on. I was thinking of using double point shovels on the inside close to the plants and 6 inch sweeps on the outside of the of the row. On the rear I would just use double point shovels. Does any have any advice or pictures of a MT200 cultivator thats in use and how it is set up? Thanks!

You do realize that one advantage of sweeps over points is the sweeps ability to cut under the soil shearing off weeds/grasses that a point can't reach.

We cultivated peanuts exclusively with front mounted cultivators using B's and an H. We used points on the front and sweeps behind the wheels unless circumstances dictated otherwise. The point hoes were spaced so all the soil was turned, and the sweeps in the rear got the remaining weeds, as their roots were compromised by the front shanks. Did well for decades and I still use this system in my garden. We have an assortment of shovels and half-shovels to use in front as needed also. The half-shovels are left and right sided and go on either side of the row.

I do realize this but only growing 2 acres I can handle some
hand work. I"d rather do this close to the plant and have good
weed kill in the rows. So sweeps on the rear sound like a
better option for this reason.

Thanks Jim. I think this is the way I am going to go. I have only
cultivated with Farmall Super A's, Super C's, and Cubs before and
none of them ran sweeps, all double points so this is new to me. I
saw Deere has some of the cheapest prices on all the sweeps so I
think I may go with them. Any idea if they are good quality?
Thanks again.
