2630 3 point-SCV problem

Another follow up to an ongoing problem. Have slow 3 point lift, but have discovered that if I push the SCV handle to activate, the 3 point will raise ONE time at full speed. Then you have to push the lever to neutral to get it to raise the 2nd time at full speed, then back to activate position and so on. When it "activates", you can here the engine labor some. Do I have an internal leak? Loader operation sppears to be unaffected. Is this a drawn out problem? TxJim told me I could disconnect the SCV valve and probably cut out the problem all together. I"d like to fix it if I could, put sm tired of dumping $$$$$ into this 2630. Thanks.

Try disconnecting and capping the supply line to the scv. It goes from the pressure control valve under the rh platform to the scv. If the 3 point works properly then the problem is in the scv. If it still doesn't work there is something else going on.

I thought I told you you could cap off the line supplying the scv's if you didn't require them. But yes capping the line would be one step in the diagnoses of your tractors hyd problem

Jim, you did but I would prefer to have working SCVs if at all
possible. What do you think is most likely going on here? I
think it could be God's way of saying, "My son, you need a
Kubota."

Enough of that kind of talk,,,your problem is most likely in the flow valve in the left front corner of the rock shaft,,when you work a other function you make a slight pressure drop in the system this will let the flow valve flex a bit in the bore,,there are some things that happen here that i don"t under stand,,and I have been dealing with one off and on the last week...I don"t like these systems much,,but I like Orange tractors even less ....

One or more of the poppet valves(parts key #25) aren't seating correctly and holding pressure. Worse scenerio is valve housing(2nd photo) is cracked internally.

I never think about that valve(parts key #10). It's actually located in the RH frt corner of RS housing. I don't ever remember it being a problem when I worked for dealer but the JD utility tractors were like me a lot younger back then. But it's easier to cap the scv supply line as a diagnostic step that to mess with that flow valve.

Hey what's wrong with Orange tractors? I own one and something must be good about them as I see a lot of new Orange tractors in the countryside. I know one thing my Orange tractor will go forward/backward,operate the frt end loader & 3pt without the aid of electronics.

Yes I got my right and left mixed up again,,Darn it,,I knew you were trying to help him Isolate the problem, and that is always a good idea, I will tell you what will happen in his case, with out a loader,(which I don't think he has a loader on)When he caps the SCV the hitch will go up slow, it will have nothing to create a pressure drop,,I was just through this Wednesday,,when you work the SCV it creates a slight pressure drop, then the hitch comes up fast ....And I can't tell you exactly what to do about it "YET" Darn it,,But I think it's in the flow valve in the hitch..

I agree with you I just never personally witnessed the valve you referred being a problem. Plus you do this on a regular basis and I've been away from a dealer a long time.
