Jim, you did but I would prefer to have working SCVs if at all possible. What do you think is most likely going on here? I think it could be God's way of saying, "My son, you need a Kubota."

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

One or more of the poppet valves(parts key #25) aren't seating correctly and holding pressure. Worse scenerio is valve housing(2nd photo) is cracked internally.

Enough of that kind of talk,,,your problem is most likely in the flow valve in the left front corner of the rock shaft,,when you work a other function you make a slight pressure drop in the system this will let the flow valve flex a bit in the bore,,there are some things that happen here that i don"t under stand,,and I have been dealing with one off and on the last week...I don"t like these systems much,,but I like Orange tractors even less ....

I never think about that valve(parts key #10). It's actually located in the RH frt corner of RS housing. I don't ever remember it being a problem when I worked for dealer but the JD utility tractors were like me a lot younger back then. But it's easier to cap the scv supply line as a diagnostic step that to mess with that flow valve.
Hey what's wrong with Orange tractors? I own one and something must be good about them as I see a lot of new Orange tractors in the countryside. I know one thing my Orange tractor will go forward/backward,operate the frt end loader & 3pt without the aid of electronics.

Yes I got my right and left mixed up again,,Darn it,,I knew you were trying to help him Isolate the problem, and that is always a good idea, I will tell you what will happen in his case, with out a loader,(which I don't think he has a loader on)When he caps the SCV the hitch will go up slow, it will have nothing to create a pressure drop,,I was just through this Wednesday,,when you work the SCV it creates a slight pressure drop, then the hitch comes up fast ....And I can't tell you exactly what to do about it "YET" Darn it,,But I think it's in the flow valve in the hitch..

I agree with you I just never personally witnessed the valve you referred being a problem. Plus you do this on a regular basis and I've been away from a dealer a long time.
