There are 2 different size (O) rings, one for JD 620s and up and 1 for below, such as A,s & ,B,s . The larger one will never fit. Make sure You have the smaller one. Make sure (O) ring race way is down to STEEL.*CHECK*, no old rubber. Now stretch new (O)ring and push up in the grove. Now carefully take 2 narrow screw drivers, one gently held against the rubber and TRACE around on the rubber with the other and the SQUARE rubber will gradually FLIP over CORRECTLY as you work around the (O) ring. Works every time, no hassle. You will never place it correctly with your HANDS. such
