Need a "throw out rod" for a 290

Planting Automatic Hill-Drop style and need a throw out rod as in the first pic. The second pic is of an earlier version and would also work.
Does anybody have one and could post some dimensions so I could make one from a welding rod? Just using twist wire now and guessing at the length.

Parts depot ; Chilton Wi. says they have 6 in stock (NOS) ; contact your local dealer , he should be able to get a price....
