Friend has a 7700 that will start just fine when cold but once it warms up it won't start. It does crank but never starts and says it runs fine when running. I remember that the 7700 has an electric fuel pump on it since I had to replace one on a service call once. But that tractor never started once the pump died. And its been 15 years since I worked on one. It there a diagnostic test port for the fuel pressure, I do have a quick disconnect hose and guage if it does. thanks chris

How many hrs on the inj pump? I'll bet that the head & rotor have too much clearence and won't pump the fuel at cranking rpm's when the fuel is hot. You could try pouring water on inj pump before attempting to start and then try to start the engine.

Hard starting when warm sounds like worn head in injector pump, I had to pour water on 4020 pump to get it started. You want to be REAL careful doing that. To cold and the pump will score the internal parts and be ruined.

(quoted from post at 20:03:34 03/27/13) 2300 total hours on the tractor.

I doubt the head & rotor are worn in 2300 hrs. I'd be looking at the the electric fuel shut-off as the culprit
